Madhavrau Scindia Memorial Charitable Trust is formed with the objective

• establish Medical, Technological and other institutions to provide quality education for the financially and socially under privileged in the state of Kerala.

• To start Law Colleges, Management Institutions, Residential Schools and Technical Training Institutions for the benefit of the labour class.

• Create awareness among people about AIDS, ill effects of alcoholism and drugs by organising programmes and counselling. Also start awareness clinics for educating the public about occupational hazards that they come across in their day-to-day routine.

• To start small scale industries for creating job opportunities for women specially from the labour class families, educated youths in alliance Government bodies like Social Welfare Board, Khadi Board etc.

• To develop infrastructure to publish books, dailies periodicals and to distribute educational materials for the students.

• Conduct discussions, symposiums and seminars of international standards on a regular basis to create awareness about the changes and developments in the global market, the social financial and cultural problems faced by the labours. Establish world standard training institutions for the benefit of the workers, the employees and the employers.

• To recognise, identify, encourage and aid the children of labourers and help them excel in their respective talent.

• With participation of the shareholders, building housing complexes, industrial estates, shopping complexes, working women's hostels, student's hostels, auditoriums, etc. Set up retail outlets, similar to 'margin free shops'.

• To start orphanages, old age homes and rehabilitation centres for beggars with the participation of the Government and NGOs and to make available ambulance, treatment and medicines free of cost.

• The latest initiative of the trust is open a 50 bed speciality hospital in Kannur named after the departed leader.

ACTIVITY REPORT-2006-07

Madhavrau Scindia Charitable Trust has always been striving to contribute something very much helpful to the society. As a part of our charitable activity we have done many social service programmes in the city of Kannur.I would like to Give you a brief account of the activity conducted from 1st January 2006 to March 2007 in this report.

1. On 11th January 06 a free Blood group detection Camp was organized in Madhavrau Scindia hospital premises, in which 250 people were able to detect their blood group.

2.On 12th January 06 ,an awareness camp regarding dental care was organized at Ramavilasam UP School ,Pallikunnu,which was presided by Dr.Raveendranath &Dr.Anil kumar,in which 300 hundred students were given free checkup.

3. On 13th January 06 a diabetic camp were conducting in Madhavrau Scindia Hospital,in which 80 patients were able to know their blood sugar level .

4. On 13th January 06 evening a seminar was conducted in Sangeetha Kalakshethra Auditorium by tying up with Life Essence Academy,NewYork &Krishi Snskrit Vidhyakendram,Bangore.The programe was inaugurated by P.Ramakrishnan,Chairman Handloom Workers Development Board. The Topic about Diabetes was presented by Dr. Bhavani Prasad .In this programe about 150 persons participated.

5. On 14th January Asthma Allergy clinic was Inaugurated by Municipal Chairman Sri.K.Upendran and awareness class was taken by Dr.Reetha ,MD ,Dch in which free treatment were given to 60 children.

6. On 14th January Indiraghandi Sadbhavana Award winner Sri.Karayil Sukumaran was honored in a public function inaugurated by Muncipal Chairman, Sri.K.Upendran.

7. On 12th March a free Eye care medical Camp was conducted by the famous Ophthalmologist Dr.V.A.Jaison and his team of doctors for auto drivers of Kannur, at Jyothis eye care, Kanuur which was inaugurated by Dr.Ram Mohan.

8. On 13th March 06 a traffic awareness class was conducted at Sangeetha Kala Kshethra auditorium inaugurated by Mr.Mathew Poli Carp,IPS Supt. Of Police Kannur.Felicitation was given by Mr.Dinesh Puthalath,Motor Vehicle Inspector and Mr.UnniKrishnan Sub Inspector of Police Traffic.

9. On March 14th Tuesday Madhavrau Scindia Obituary Ceremony was conducted which was inaugurated by Sri.Mullapalli Ramachandran Ex-Minister.

10. On 7th July 06, a class regarding lactation was conducted by Indian Pediatric Association.

11. On National Blood Donors Day a free blood group detection camp was conducted and a Blood Donors group was also organized. This Programe was inaugurated by Sri.K.Upendran, Muncipal Chairman.

12. On February 28th 2007, the people of Kannur were given an awareness seminar about “The right to know about law”.The programe was inaugurated by Sri.K.Upendran.

13.In Association with Sri.Madhavrau Scindia’s 62nd birthday ,on March 17th Educational aid were given to many children and moreover Poor Patients were given Medical aid also.The programme was inaugurated by Sri.Ramesh Chennithala ,KPPC President.In the same function many personnels,who have proved their skill in various fields were honoured.

14. On March 18th a free Eye care medical camp was conducted by the famous Ophthalmologist Dr.V.A.Jaison and his tem of doctors for auto drivers of Kannur at Jyothis eye Care, Kannur

ACTIVITY REPORT-2007-08

I would like to give here a brief account of the activities of Madhavrau Scindia Memorial Charitable Trust conducted from 1st April 2007 to March 2008 in this report.

1. On 6th May 07 a free Blood Group and Diabetic Detection Camp was organized in Parakandy School,Kannur , in which 250 people were able to detect their blood group and diabetic ,which was inaugurated by Sri. K. Sudhakaran MLA

2. On 14th August 07, Swathanthria Smruthi Sadassu was conducted at the Parkan’s Auditorium and at the same function the freedom fighters were honoured

3. On 15th August a free Blood group detection Camp was organized in Muttolam Para, in tie-up up with Padinharekandy Arts& Sports club.

4. On 24-08-07 free lunch boxes were distributed to students of Chovva Ganapati Vilasam U P School at a function inaugurated by Sri.K.Pramod, Chairman.

5. On 11th September 07, in a function inaugurated by Sri. K. Sankara Narayanan, Governor of Nagaland, held at Navaneetham Auditorium, Free School uniforms were supplied to 1500 poor students.

6. On 2nd October 07 a free cerebral palsy awareness camp was conducted in tie-up with Jyothis Special School, Kottayam and Disha-Thrippunithura at IMA hall, Kannur. The awareness class was conducted by Sri.S.Ramakrishnan, Executive Director, Disha-Thrippunithura.

7. On 30-12-07, a free medical camp was held at Crescent English medium School, Keeriyad, which was conducted by Valapatanam Mandalam Cong. Committee

8. On 10th January 08, free school uniforms were distributed to 200 poor students, whose parents were affected by AIDS .The Function was inaugurated by Sri. K. Sudhakaran MLA

9. On 10-02-08, a Blood group determination and Medical camp was held near Thaqva Masjid, Arumbhagam, Puzhathi..
Educational .aids were given to the following students
Reshma.M, II B.A student, N.C. Divyan for books, K. Swetha, Kannadiparamba Sec, School, Master Adeeb.K Mahadi, Rincy. K, Master Vaishnav N.C, Rahul, XI student, SN Vidyamandir, Med. aid was given to the following Persons, Mr.Madhavan P., Azhikode, Mr.Sreedharan K., Thalassery, Mr.K.P Rajeevan
In addition to the financial assistance, medicines from the pharmacy were distributed to poor patients as per doctors prescriptions.

A discount of Rs.2,46,585/- was allowed in the bill of poor patients

ACTIVITY REPORT-2008-09

Dear Friends,
Once again I stand before you with the report of activities conducted by Madhavrau Scindia Charitable Trust. Like previous years in the year 2008-09 we were able to continue our charitable activities. We have been able to carry on credulous services in the fields of social, cultural and educational fields. I am proud to present a glimpse of our activities during the year 2008-09.

Free Meals Scheme We were able to continue the Free meals distribution scheme on every second Saturdays of the month to patients of Government Hospital, Kannur , this year also.

Functions:

September 30, 2008 A function was organized to commemorate the Death Anniversary of Late Sri Madhavrau Scindia at I M A Hall, Kannur. Sri.Mullappally Ramachandran was the chief guest.

November 3, 2008
free uniforms were distributed to 1500 poor students of Kannur Municipality and adjoining 6 panchayats. Sri AjayTharayil has inaugurated the distribution function.

January 10, 2009
Foundation day of Madhavrau Scindia Hospital was celebrated under the president ship of sri.K.Pramod, Chairman. Sri B P Farooq, Municipal Chairman, Kannur inaugurated the function.

August 28 Free Uniform Distribution to 2000 students of schools from Kannur Municipality and adjoining Panchayats Sri P.P.Lakshmanan presided. Lunch was served to all the participants.

16-03-2010 Madhav Rao Scindia Charitable Trust office was inaugurated by Shri.M.M.Hassan at M.A.H.Building, Talap in the function presided over by Shri.K.Pramod, chairman of the trust.

04-04-2010 A medical Camp was organized with the cooperation of M R S hospital in connection with Iriveri Magham Uroos Eminent doctors participated in the camp. A seminar on Diabetes was held at the camp. Eminent doctors presented the papers

Free meal distribution to patients in Hq Hospital on all Saturdays continued as in the previous year.

1-06-2010 New Ambulance with mobile mortuary was launched by Shri.Rajiv Satav(President all India Youth Congress).Function was presided over by Shri.K.Pramod,Chairman of the Trust.

2-09-2010 Free uniforms were distributed 2000 students of 142 schools In Kannur Municipality, and adjoining panchayats of Elayavoor,Puzhathi, Valapatanam, Chelora, Munderi, Edakkad and Azhikode. The function arranged at Navaneetham Auditorium was inaugurated by Sri. K Sudhakaran MP and K.Pramod was the president.The students and parents and the participants were treated with traditional lunch also.

05-09-2010 Meeting to pay tributes to the late Mercy Ravi was held at Apsara Palace, Kannur 0n 5th Sep. Hon Minister Mr.Kadannappalli Ramachandran presided and paid rich tributes to the departed Leader.

30-09-2010 Floral tributes were paid to Sri Madhavrau Scindia on his death Anniversary at the Hospital. Due to the regulations of Electoral Proceedings no meetings could be held

02-10-2010 Blood group determination camp was held at Pothuvachery Central UP School by Desodharana Vayanasala and Madhavrau Scindia Hospital to commemorate the birth day of Mahathma Gandhi. About 120 students participated.

In addition we have a 250 member blood donors force ready to donate blood to the patients

10-01-2011 The seventh Anniversary of the Hospital was celebrated on 10th January 2011 at IMA hall, Kannur. Mr.K.Pramod, Chairman of the hospital presided over the function. Mr.Shaji Chaliloth welcomed the gathering. Mr.C.Sameer Vice Chairman, Kannur Municipality and others offered felicitation speeches.

10-01-2011 The seventh foundation day of the hospitalwas celebrated at IMA hall,Kannur. K.Pramo Chairman of the Trust presided in the function. Felicitation was offered by eminent persons covering all sections of the society.

06-02-2011 A diabetic treatment camp was held at Navaneetham Auditorium under the guidance of Dr.Prasad, Kenichira. Doctor demonstrated new techniques in the treatment of Diabetes, which is a major health hazard of modern society. Sri.K.C Venugopl, Hon.Deputy Minister of Energy, Govt.of India was the chief guest.Chairman K.Pramod presided. About 500 persons participated.

10-03-2011 The 66th birthday of late Sri. Madhavrau Scindia was celebrated on 10-03-2011. Floral tributes were offered at Madhavrau Stupa at Talap and also at the hospital in the morning. In the evening a function was held at Malabar Residency which was inaugurated by Sri V.M.Sudheeran, Ex minister and former Speaker, Kerala Assembly. Sri P.Ramakrishnan President Kannur DCC presided. Tributes were paid by various leaders.

11-03-2011 A counselling camp for students appearing for SSC Exam to ward off examination fever was held at IMA hall, Kannur. Dr.Umer Farooque SLP, Psychologist conducted the camp. He gave valuable tips to the students about facing the exam fearlessly. All the participants were given a copy of Mahathma Gandhi's Experience with Truth.

ACTIVITY REPORT-2011-12

10-07-2011 A screening camp was held at Koyili Hospital Kannur to select 15 chronically ill heart patients for FREE HEART SURGERY sponsored jointly by MRS TRUST, Koyili Heart Foundation and KIMST Madhavrao Scindia Hospital. About 150 patients participated and from them 15 were shortlisted for the operation. The cost of the operation which will come to nearly Rs.150000/- per patient will be borne by the sponsors. Sri.K.Sudhakaran MP was the chief guest.

23-07-2011 The prestigious venture of MRS Trust and Kannur Institute of Medical Science and Technology The "KIMST Madhavrao Scindia Hospital" was inaugurated on 23-07-2011 at John Mill Road, South Bazar by Sri K.Sudhakaran MP. Sri.A.P.Abdullakutty.MLA, Sri Sunny Joseph MLA and Sri E.P Jayarajan MLA spoke on the occassion. Felicitations were offered by many leading members of the society.

30-07-2011 A blood group detection camp was held at the Chald Madrassa Hall under the auspices of MRS Trust and Muslim League, Chalad. 05-09-2011- A function was held at Palmgrove Auditorium Kannur to honour the memories of the late Mercy Ravi. Sri.K.C.Joseph, Minister of rural development.Govt of Kerala Presided. A blood grooup detection camp was held under the auspices of MRS Trust and Keeleri Brothers Club, Chettipeedika.

18-09-2011 A blood group detection camp was held at Puthiyaparamba LP School jointly sponsered by MRS Trust and Gate Team, Chirakkal.

30-09-2011 A grand function to distribute free uniform to 2500 School students was held at Navaneetham Auditorium, Kannur. A commemorative function to honour the 10th death anniversary of late Madhavrau Scindia was also held simultaniously. Sri.K.C.Venugopal, Hon.Deputy Minister for Energy, Govt. of India was the Chief guest. We are proud that we could add students from schools in Pappinissery, Narath and Kalliassery Panchayaths in our scheme this year. Totaly the number of schools covered was this year.

2-10-2011 A free camp Eye camp was held at KIMST Madhavrau Scindia Hospital jointly sponsered by Madhavrau Scindia Memorial Charitable Trust. Jyothish Eye care Hospital, Pallikunu and KIMST MRS Hoapital.About 180 patients participated. Sri.P.C.Chako.M.P was the chief guest.Trust Chairman Sri K.Pramod presided.

30-10-2011 The second phase of the novel scheme "Know Gandhiji;Know India" was launched 0n 3rd October at CHMHS School, Varam, Elayavoor.Sri.K.Sudhakaran M.P inagurated the function presided by Sri.K.Pramod, Chairman of the Trust.
